USUI METHOD REIKI

The name Reiki is a Japanese word derived from two words ‘Rei’ meaning universal and ‘Ki’ meaning life force energy. Eastern medicine recognises and works with energy or ‘life-force' and similarly Reiki uses this energy to stimulate the body in it’s own natural healing process, increasing the energy flow through out the body.
Reiki energy is usually transferred through the practitioner’s hands; where appropriate the hands lay gently on the body.

THE TREATMENT

A Reiki treatment is non-diagnostic, non-interventionist, non-manipulative treatment and no pressure is applied. The client remains fully dressed for the entire treatment. A full Reiki treatment will usually last one hour.
The client may experience a wide range of sensations such as gentle tingling, heat, cold, or not feel anything at all. At times there may be a release of emotion laughing or crying, as a part of the re-balancing process, this is considered very healthy. Reiki can be used alongside conventional medical treatments. The client draws all energy needed though the practitioner, the practitioner acts only as a channel for the energy
Anyone can benefit from receiving REIKI for healing or as a part of a relaxation, or stress reduction, plan.
